Cast Copper alloy, post Medieval mount. (circa AD 1500 - AD 1600.) The object consists of a domed plate with two attachment spikes to the rear. The spikes are turned over indicative of it once being attached to fabric or leather. The front face exhibits a simple fleur-de-lys design; at the top there are three lobes, divided by an incised chevron. Below this a waist-like reduction terminated with a squared off base. An incomplete Post-Medieval silver bird figurine dating to c. AD1800 - 1900. The bird is moulded in the round in three separate pieces, with the wings moulded separately and subsequently attached. The bird has a curving neck, open beak and its wings are spread out behind (one now lost). The tail is sub-rectangular, with incised lines defining the individual feathers, whilst those on the wings are individually moulded. A complete asymmetric, cast Copper-alloy Medieval bar mount, dating to the 14th century AD. The mount is formed of a central plump, sub-oval body from which two sub-rectangular terminal lobes extend. The terminal lobes are drilled and countersunk below to accommodate rivets with the remains in-situ and would have attached the mount to a strap. The terminal lobes are of differing lengths. A post-medieval, copper-alloy thimble dating to the 18th century. Description: The thimble has slightly tapering sides from the base to the crown, with a raised lip around the base. It is decorated with circular drilled indentations. The indentations form a pattern of concentric circles from the base to the peak of the thimble. The top of the thimble is domed with a 'waffle' pattern of square indentations. Measurements: Length 19.95mm: Diameter 21.3mm: Weight 8.22g Discussion: The thimble is a Holmes English or Dutch Type III thimble.

A copper-alloy medieval pin probably from an annular brooch or buckle. The pin is 44.17 mm in length and has a sub-circular cross-section with file marks. At its largest point, it is 4.90 mm wide and it is 6.02 mm thick. The pin tapers over its length to a blunt point which exhibits wear on the lower edge from contact with the frame. The pin is tinned with small patches of the plating missing revealing the base metal below. The attachment end consists of an incomplete penannular loop.
