A complete cast iron probable shot or cannon ball dating from the post-medieval period, about AD 1500-1700. It is a sphere of iron, with a slightly pitted and corroded surface, dark brown in colour. It is 39.5mm diameter (1,5 inches) and has a mass of 235g (eight and a quarter ounces). It may have been intended for use in a Serpentine cannon which had a nominal bore size of 1.5 inch diameter, firing shot weighing 0.75 lb, or a Rabinet cannon which fired shot weighing 8oz. Rim sherd from a Middle Anglo-Saxon vessel made in Northern Maxey ware, probably Fabric B, dating from the 8th to mid 9th century. The fabric is medium hard with a profuse, crushed sea-shell filler, the sherd has a dark grey exterior and core with a mid-brown inner face. The rim is everted with a square-cut edge with some idications of a slight burnish on its outer surface. Jars of this form occured were found at Flixborough (Evans and Loveluck, Fig. 12.24, No. 154). It is estimated that this sherd came from a vessel with a rim diameter of c. 100mm.

A Post-Medieval gold signet (or seal) finger-ring, dating to the late 16th to 17th century AD. The bezel is oval in shape with a sub-rectangular cross-section. The external surface of the bezel measures 15.8mm x a width of 13.4mm. Approximately 0.5mm in from the edge is a beaded border formed of closely set short lines. A thin and shallow incised line runs around the inner side of the beaded border. At the centre of the bezel is a coat of arms on a flat-topped shield. A gold pendant produced from an early-medieval coin which has been adapted with the addition of a gold suspension loop. The coin is a Merovingian gold tremissis of the 'National Series' dating c.580-675, struck at the Paris mint (IN PALACIO) by the moneyer Landegiselus.
