An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting or mount dating to the Post-Medieval period (AD 1500-1700). The fitting possesses a slightly convex flat elongated heart-shaped plate that is sub-D-shaped in section and terminates with a rear facing hook. In the centre of the plate just beneath the bifurcated end of the plate is a small circular iron rivet. There is another circular rivet hole further down the centre of the plate, just above a decorative transverse groove that divides the body of the plate from the hook. Medieval copper alloy mount dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1450. Rectangular in form, it exhibits two drilled rivet holes. The edge of the plate has a simple engraved line border. A similar example is illustrated in Read, B, (2017), p. 28, no. 158.

A complete medieval copper alloy strap fitting or loop, dating to c. AD 1330-80. The loop was originally trapezoidal in shape but has been distorted, there are two small internal triangular projections nearer the shorter bar. The bar of the loop is rectangular in cross section and is flat. It has a light grey patina, and measures 19.8mm in length, 18.0mm in width, and 2.2mm at maximum thickness. It weighs 1.40g. c.f.
