An incomplete, post-medieval copper alloy buckle, dated 1600 - 1720. The buckle is double looped with a sub-retangular frame that has rounded edges. the pin is missing. The buckle frame is concave in cross section and narrows to the central cross bar where it is flanked by trefoil mouldings with upturned leaves on either side of the trefoils, The outer edge of each frame is expanded to a rossette which is topped with a knop. A modern copper alloy livery button of the Water Lane Brewery. The button is made of two pieces the front and the back plate to which the shank is attached. The front is concave. The front plate is almost complete, and its outer surface is embossed with a pattern of zig-zag lines. The internal side has one end half lightly coloured green where textile was found next to it. A complete cast copper-alloy single loop buckle with integral, forked spacers dating to the 14th century. The buckle frame is a narrow oval with a pointed lip on the outside edge for the pin to rest on. The pin is looped around a narrow bar between the bulbous start of two stepped prongs of an integrally cast forked spacer designed to connect the now missing buckle plate. The pin is formed from a long thin tapering piece of copper-alloy, cylindrical in cross-section. A complete lead Spindle Whorl of Medieval date (AD 1066-1550). The object is circular and in profile is plano-convex, there is a single, central circular perforation running through running through the object (11mm in diameter). A post medieval copper alloy spur buckle. This dates from the late 17th or early 18th century (c.1660-1720). The buckle is of an asymmetrical type with a rounded loop at one end and a squared loop with diagonal cut corners. It is slightly curved up at both ends. It is drilled with a tiny circular hole in both sides of the centre to hold a separate spindle. The bar is of an iron-rich material. The iron pin is heavily corroded. The chapes are both broken; one is mostly present with only the last part, which would attatch to the frame, missing. An almost complete, modern, copper alloy, discoidal plate badge, from the early 1930's. Around the circumference on the front are the raised words, 'BOBBY BEAR CLUB. DAILY HERALD', which are surrounded by red enamelling. In the centre circle is the 'golden' profile (left facing) of the head and shoulders of a 'teddy bear'. On the reverse is a small, soldered tube, which would have held the pin, opposite a soldered on hook. The pin is missing. In small, raised letters on the back is the makers mark, 'RODEN LONDON'. Dimensions: Diameter: 25 mm, Thickness: 1 mm. Weight: 7.17 gm.

A complete copper-alloy dress hook, probably 16th century 1500-1550 CE. Read's Class E, Type 3. The front of the dress hook has moulded relief open work decoration, whilst the back is flat. The body is broadly circular with a rectangular attachment loop. The body is decorated with an equal armed cross, and the edge of the body is beaded and engrailed. Each of the 4 quarters of the body has 4 small holes. The hook is present and is bent forward, returning by 8.9mm. Weight 2.55g, length 34.1mm, width 16.1mm, thickness 1.6mm. Similar to YORYM-1D23FF

Incomplete Middle Saxon copper alloy Ansate brooch. The terminals are flat, ovoid and decorated with four l grooves which form an oval. The inner oval is divided in to quadrants by four grooves; a further four grooves outline the quadrant into a diamond shape. The bow was probably D-sectioned but has been squashed. The double pin lug retains part of an iron spindle. An integral hooked catchplate is located on the reverse. Overall length 29mm, diameter of terminal 10mm,weight 76.4g.
