The main body of the hooked tag is circular shaped, with a central raised boss. Around this runs a circular border of raised pellets, followed by a raised continual loop. An incomplete copper-alloy Iron Age to Roman brooch of the Nauheim Derivative Type, dating to 10 BC- 100AD. It consists of a flat bow which is sub-triangular in plan tapering towards the foot. The upper end is sharlply shouldered to reduce the width for the commencement of the integral spring, now largely missing. The stud consists of a pointed-oval convex plate with an integrally cast, square-sectioned rivet positioned centrally on the underside. The object has a worn and pitted surface with a dark green-brown patina. The stud is 19.68mm in length, 11.74mm in width and 9.98mm at maximum thickness. It weighs 2g. An incomplete copper alloy medieval spacer from a strap end, dating from c. AD 1350-1450. The spacer is a circular hoop, with an acorn shaped terminal projecting down. This is formed of the shell with cross hatched decoration, and the nut contained within. Above the terminal is a raised border. On the opposite edge the two prongs project, these are worn and broken. The spacer has a light green patina, and measures 36.2mm in length, 22.1mm in width, and weighs 4.01g. A similar strap end can be seen in Egan and Pritchard 1991, page 141, number 651.
