Post-medieval copper alloy harness mount with a pair of integral, stumps of oval-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse and worn moulded foliar ornament on the face. Broadly similar to Read 2001, no. 294. Length and width 28.5 and 12.5mm. Thickness (excluding spikes) 2.5mm. 17th century.

A cast lead alloy decorative mount, probably for a horse harness fitting of post medieval date (c. 1600 - c. 1800). The mount is circular in plan, convex with a flat, undecorated circular raised central boss 21.2 mm diameter, surrounded by a moulded rim with foliate decoration. The reverse face is concave and undecorated, with the corroded stubs of two attachment tabs.
Overall diameter is 44.3 mm, thickness 4.5 mm. Weight 34.9 g
