A complete flint Thumbnail Scraper of Neolithic date (3450-1500 BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface has short scaled flaking along all edges with the exception of the blunted proximal edge. There is a minor amount of retained cortex along the distal right hand edge and four predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. All edges except the blunted proximal edge have fine semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slightly convex due to a bulb of percussion with a shallow negative scar over it, situated at the proximal end. …

A copper-alloy unidentified object fragment of the Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period, dating to AD 500-900. It is a strip of metal which has a sub-trapezoidal shape in plan. The front face is decorated with a highly profiled central longitudinal double rope twist design, flanked by a narrow flat border on each of the long sides. The front face has much of the original gilding still surviving. Tha back face is flat and undecorated. The closest examples found suggest that it could be part of a box fitting or mount; for comparison see West (1998, pp.123,124, fig. 6,7, nos. 68,75) …

Medieval gilt heavily cast copper alloy mount, probably from harness, square, domed and hollow-backed. The face has a small central boss at the centre of a cross formed from lines of punched counter-relief pellets, between the arms of which are twin oblique lines of smaller pellets forming sub-lozengiform decoration. An outer border comprises cast beading with a boss at each angle. There is a short integral rivet at each angle on the reverse (lengths 3 - 5mm). 32 x 33mm. Height (excluding rivets) 10.5mm. Thickness of metal 2.5mm. Weighs 20.93g. 12th century.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Trumpet brooch; date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head is missing and the catchplate is damaged. Behind the remaining part of the head is a slot for the hinged pin which is missing. Below this are triple banded semi-circular collars. The foot is a semi-circular disc. The remains of a catchplate can be seen above the foot. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The length is 57mm, the width is 15mm thickness and the weight 10.46g.

A copper-alloy Early Medieval (Late Anglo-Saxon) strap end fragment, dating to AD 800-900. It is sub-triangular in plan with a rounded terminal point. The front face has a chip-carved decoration decpicting a large eared animal face looking downwards. Above the ears there is a panel of interlaced design, which bears traces of niello. The back face is plain but it was possibly covered originally by white metal coating. Cf. Thomas' Class A, Type 1 ( 2003, p. 3, fig. 1, no. 4).
