One sherd of unglazed earthernware. The fabric is reduced grey at the core with a patchily oxidised red exterior surface. The dense temper is pink and white quartz sand with occasional iron stone pieces and voids up to 2mm. The temper is visible at the surface indicating the surfaces were wiped. An undiagnostic body sherd. Handmade. Heavily abraded. Date: Probably Medieval - c. 1200 - 1400 Weight: 5 g

A small wheel thrown ceramic juglette likely from Iberia dating from the 17th-19th centuries in date. Description: The jug is quite small with a long body and high low angle shoulder and a narrow neck. The rim is beaded and very minorly flared, the pinching to form the spout is very subtle. An incomplete copper alloy Vessel leg of Medieval date (AD 1250-1700). The object is a pot leg and foot, which is D shaped cross section and faceted with no decoration. The base of the foot is stepped and raises up, slightly curving in toward to leg. The pot attachment end recurves to meet the now lost vessel body. The terminating end is flat and smooth. Copper alloy possible vessel mount. Cast flat-based foot to be attached to a wooden vessel or casket. The foot is of crooked form with an integrally cast projecting spike of length 16mm and a drilled fixing hole of diameter 3.3mm adjacent to it at its upper end. The foot itself bears four nicks dividing a frontal curve, forming the paw of a triangular animal pad at the end of a narrow ankle at right angles to it. Four sherds of unglazed earthernware. The fabric is reduced grey at the core with patchily oxidised buff, orange and red margins. The abundant temper is mixed and includes white and pink angular qurtz sand ,calcareous pieces and, rarely, iron stone fragments (up to 2 mm). The temper is visible at the surface indicating the surfaces were wiped.and there are also voids where some of the inclusions have leached out. Two sherds of glazed pottery. Similar in decorative style to South Somerset (Donyatt) wares, but possible from the industry centered around Holnest in Dorset (unpublished). The fabric is highly fired with a pale grey reduced core and oxidised ornage-red margins. The interior surfaces are slipped with wet sgraffito decoration under an amber and green lead glaze. Two sherds of unglazed earthernware pottery. Both sherds are of a reduced grey coarsely tempered fabric. On sherd has oxidised orange margins. The abundant temper is a poorly sorted mix of flint grit, sand and ironstone pieces (up to 3 mm). Both are sherds from jar rims. One is a cupped rim with and internal lid-seat, the other is a flat-topped rim with a slight in turn. The pottery is handmade and heavily abraded. A group of Three fragments of a copper alloy Vessel of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1200-1700). The fragments are two rim sherds and one small body sherd and are sub-rectangular and triangular in shape. The interior surfaces have well-defined circumferential grooves. The shallow curvature suggests a wide vessel. Cast copper-alloy vessels were in common usage c 1200 - 1700 AD, becoming superseded in the 18th century by cast-iron vessels.
