A copper-alloy Roman radiate of Carausius, dating to the period AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). The reverse legend is unclear: it is possibly (PA?)(X?) (A?)(VG?) or (LI?)(T?)(I?) (AV?)[G?] - this might be a blunderd version of the LITIT AVG series. The type is Providentia standing left, holding globe and cornucopiae. The style of the obverse suggests it is quite possibly an official issue from an 'Unattributed Mint'.
