A complete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1500. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a narrowed and offset strap bar. A central recess to the loop holds a separate sheet roller and an ovate sectioned pin remains around the bar. A rectangular plate is looped around the bar by two narrowed integral strips with central slot to house the pin. The upper plate is wider than the lower plate and is decorated with an incised border. An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy umbonate brooch dating to c AD 100 - 200. This is a dished cone brooch almost certainly made in Britain (Macreth), circular, with a concave sided cone rising from the bottom of a dish whose outer edge is also a concave curve. Typical of this type, there are six projections around the outer edge. On top of the cone is a flaring bead around a recess in the middle, in the centre of which is a small circular boss. A complete copper-alloy dress hook of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1650. The dress hook is of Reads Class E, Type 3 being sub-circular in plan. The main plate comprises a moulded relief and openwork design featuring a pair of forearms emerging from a series of loops, interpreted by Read as clouds. The sleeves are ribbed and the hands grip chevron-style handles which join to form the integral hook. The hook curves backwards tapering to a worn point. A Medieval copper alloy enamelled heraldic horse harness pendant, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1400. In plan the pendant takes the form of a square topped shield, with a transverse attachment loop projecting from the centre of the top edge. The front of the pendant is inlaid with enamel, although it has been mostly lost and is discoloured to a dark green-black where it survives. Against this uncertain field are two silver (argent) bars, surmounted by three uncertain charges, also silver. The reverse is plain. Traces of iron corrosion survive in the perforation of the attachment loop.…
