An incomplete copper-alloy Roman disc brooch dating to the second century AD. All is complete with the exception of the now missing pin and loss of all but a slight trace of the decorative enamel. The remains of this brooch weighs 3.06g. It has a diameter of 22.4mm on what would have been the pin axis and diameter of 21.2mm at 90 degrees to this. The disc, which is still mostly flat with just a slight hint of a twist to the metal at one side, has a thickness of 1.1mm. The front of the brooch has a concentric design formed of depressed cells.
