A complete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1500. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a narrowed and offset strap bar. A central recess to the loop holds a separate sheet roller and an ovate sectioned pin remains around the bar. A rectangular plate is looped around the bar by two narrowed integral strips with central slot to house the pin. The upper plate is wider than the lower plate and is decorated with an incised border. An incomplete copper-alloy double-loop shoe buckle or knee buckle, dating to the period c.1700-1800. The object comprises the frame of the buckle, without the pin or rowel and tongue. The buckle frame has concave sides with central decoration of five transverse ribs. There is also decoration at the opposite ends of the frame, where the pin would have rested, again in the form of five transverse ribs, though in this instance the buckle ends are convex. The back of the buckle is undecorated.

An incomplete copper-alloy double-loop buckle, dating to the period c.1600-1700. The object is composed of the buckle frame, missing its pin. There is iron staining on the central pin bar suggesting that the pin was originally iron. The buckle has a pointed oval appearance, with a pin rest upon each 'point' of the oval; this is in the form of a bulbous knop. Radiating from the pin bar, along the frame, are incised lines. The reverse of the buckle is undecorated.

An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has ornate floral mouldings on the outer frame. The strap bar is narrowed and there is a small knop floral moulding and V-shaped knop protruding from the frame edge either side. The pin is now missing. The remains of a black coating can be seen. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Ornate moulded buckles of this shape became popular around c. AD 1550 through until the early 18th century.

Medieval (13th to mid-14th century) copper alloy buckle: The buckle is a D-shaped frame which has a narrowed and slightly off-set frame. The frame is expanded in width towards the apex. The pin is missing. The frame is abraded and has and incomplete light green patina. The buckle measures 13.46mm long, 14.71mm wide, and weighs 1.11g. Egan and Pritchard (2002) date a similar shaped buckle, No. 271-274, to the 13th to mid-14th century. Medieval (c. 1230 to c. 1400) buckle plate: The copper alloy buckle plate is sub-rectangular with a fold, off-centre, with a rectangular slot removed in the centre of the fold. The two remaining sections of the fold are broken, but not recently. The two plates which are formed by the break are riveted together with three incomplete rivets. The outer face of the plate has traces of gilding and the pattern of gilding suggests the rivet heads were perhaps domed originally and are since missing. Medieval copper alloy single loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1400. D-shaped loop with an offset strap bar which has an oval knop at either end. The front edge is expanded, with a central constriction for a sheet metal roller, flanked at either end by a rounded knop. Incomplete late medieval to post medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1650. The central narrowed strap bar is trapezoidal in cross-section. One loop is intact. The object consists of a rectangular plate which has been folded over at one end to form a loop to hold the buckle frame. The frame is circular in cross section. There is no pin bar recess or pin rest and the fram is free moving. The pin is circular in cross section with a small sub-rectangular knop just before the attachment loop. The loop is formed by being rolled round the frame.
