A Post medieval copper-alloy button, dating to AD 1500 - 1800. Thickness: 10 mm, diameter: 20 mm, weight: 4.48 g. The button his formed of a domed circular shaped plate which is decorated with an incised circle surrounding a central ciecular depression. It has a rectangular shaped and cross sectioned shafter emerging from the centre of its base. This has a circular hole taking up most of it.

Medieval (1450 to 1550) thimble or sewing ring: A copper alloy thimble or sewing ring which is composed of a single shell. The exterior has a plain rim with rows of conical indentations. The interior is undecorated. The surface of the thimble has an abraded matte light green-brown patina with traces of red copper corrosion. The thimble measures 9.82mm long and 23.15mm wide. It weighs 4.66g. Holmes (1988) in Figure 4 illustrates a similar shaped and decorated thimble which he dates to the mid-15th to mid-16th century. An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has ornate floral mouldings on the outer frame. The strap bar is narrowed and there is a small knop floral moulding and V-shaped knop protruding from the frame edge either side. The pin is now missing. The remains of a black coating can be seen. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Ornate moulded buckles of this shape became popular around c. AD 1550 through until the early 18th century.

Medieval (13th to mid-14th century) copper alloy buckle: The buckle is a D-shaped frame which has a narrowed and slightly off-set frame. The frame is expanded in width towards the apex. The pin is missing. The frame is abraded and has and incomplete light green patina. The buckle measures 13.46mm long, 14.71mm wide, and weighs 1.11g. Egan and Pritchard (2002) date a similar shaped buckle, No. 271-274, to the 13th to mid-14th century. Medieval copper alloy casket key, Length: 36 mm, width: 13 mm, thickness: 3 mm, weight: 3.96 g. The key has a circular shaped flat loop with a slightly off central circular hole. This sits above an oval cross sectioned rectangular shaped shaft which has an integral bit. This is rectangular in form and cross section and has a small rectangular depression in the centre of the top and bottom. The end of the shaft has a pointed projection c.5mm long.

Roman copper alloy thistle brooch, Length: 41 mm, width: 25 mm, thickness: 6 mm, weight: 8.66 g The brooch was found in two fragments which join. It has a circular cross sectioned, rectangular shaped hollow headplate which sits above a flat backplate. This has a circular upper half and a trapezoidal shpaed lower half. The reverse of this section houses the catchplate which is sub rectangular in form. The top part has traces of possible tinning/silvering on its surface, but the object appears to be misssing a front plate as there are no traces of decoration?
