A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy book fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1600. Howsam's (2016) type B.4.1. The fitting consists of a sub-rectangular plate of copper alloy, with two complete edges, a third broken and with the fourth folded, curving underneath the main body to form a short backplate. The front plate is decorated with an off centre hemispherical boss, with a hollow reverse, contained within a sub-rectangular field defined by a double-stranded border of punched pellets. A medieval (1200-1400) copper alloy - and originally gilt or silvered and enamelled - horse harness pendant and pendant suspension mount, now corroded together. Almost all original patina on both pieces is missing but a few sparkly specks of perhaps gilding or silvering are apparent on both. Traces of blue and red enamel are visible on the pendant. Medieval copper alloy annular brooch dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1350. Flat annular frame with a constriction for the pin. The upper face exhibits traces of a pattern of a series of circular bosses, now missing, marked by traces of a white substance, probably adhesive. The butt of the sheet metal pin is wrapped around the constriction. Similar examples are discussed by Egan & Pritchard (2002, p. 252 - 254, nos. 1323 & 1328).

An incomplete copper-alloy rotary key of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. The stem of the key is ovate and hollow with both ends terminating in worn breaks. A sub-rectangular bit projects from one end of the stem and comprises a rectangular ribbed panel from which three wards with two clefts project. One ward in U-shaped. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The key is 39.3mm long, the stem is 9.6mm in diameter. The bit is 27.5mm wide, 6.9mm thick. The key weighs 20.9g. Keys of a similar form are illustrated in Egan (2010) p.155, fig.88, no.313.
