An almost complete Medieval silver penny of Henry VII (1485-1509), minted at London (North 1991: 103, ref: 1726). Initial mark: pansy, 1490-1504. Obverse: hEnRIC DI GRA REX AnG, King enthroned holding orb and sceptre. Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LOn/DOn, Royal shield over long cross which divides the legend. Diameter: 16.0mm. Weight: 0.67g. DA=12:9. North, J.J. 1991. English Hammered Coinage, Volume II, Edward I to Charles II, 1272-1662. Spink & Son, London.

Silver groat of Henry VII (AD 1485 to AD 1509). North 1706 Class IV(b). Crosslet mint mark suggests a date of 1504-1507. Separator marks are a selection of crescent moons and crosses. The coin is pierced through the centre, although this has not removed any metal and may be considered incomplete. It is unclear when this took place or whether it was a deliberate action. Obverse-: Crowned head of kind facing outward, surrounded by beaded border.
