A copper-alloy Medieval English jetton, class X (AD1302-1307), issued under Edward I, AD 1272-1307. Obverse shows a class 10 crowned bust forward facing within a circle. Obverse legend is fictitious, consisting of 17 characters, reading: ABABA[...]ABABAB[...]BASB. Reverse shows a key accosted by six-pellet clusters within a circle. The bow of the key protrudes outside the inner circle. A border of 21 pellets takes the place of a legend, which pauses to make way for the key's bow. Die axis is 12 o'clock.
