At the top there are three lobes and on each broad face each lobe has a circular 'blind' hole. On the underside a transverse slot contains the remains of an iron tang. This object is reddish brown. A small sheet metal bell, possibly from a horse harness, likely mid-Medieval to as late as the early Post-Medieval period, c.AD 1250-1600. Description: The bell is made from a single sheet of copper alloy with an integral suspension loop at the end of an extended shank. The bottom is damaged in places but is formed of four 'Petals' folded in on each other at the base to make a sounding hole. Copper-alloy cast bar with loop terminal. The bar is 'D' shaped in section and features transverse moulded bands, both thinner and thicker, along the length, giving the impression that the bar is segmented. It is not clear whether there has been a break at the point at which the bar terminates, though if it was broken, it was done so in antiquity. The opposite terminal ends in a flattened circular plate through which a hole has been drilled to form a loop. An almost complete copper alloy medieval buckle and plate, dating from c. AD 1230-1260. The buckle frame is D shaped, and widens on the outer edge. The inside of the frame is bevelled, and the frame sub triangular in cross section. The pin bar is slightly recessed from the frame, and is rectangular in cross section.
