A complete cast lead-alloy official four ounce avoirdupois weight dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1588-1603. It is circular in plan and broadly rectangular in section, with neatly chamfered edges in evidence around its entire circumference. The underside of the weight is flat and featureless, while the upper surface has been stamped with three separate marks. An incomplete cast copper-alloy, gold leaf and garnet Early Anglo-Saxon zoomorphic shield mount of Dickinson and Harke's group C (figural appliques usually of gilt bronze in the shape of fish or other animals), dating c. 500-600 AD. In plan the mount would probably have taken the form of a fish or aquatic creature: the 'head' end is broken away, but the rest of the object is preserved intact. A complete cast copper-alloy single looped buckle of Meols type 2 dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. It demonstrates a 'D' shaped frame with an offset strap bar (around which the cast copper-alloy pin still survives) and a recessed pin rest in the outer edge of the frame.
