An Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) damaged and almost complete gold mount or cover for a boss (c. 600-c. 700). Treasure case no. 2018 T335. The object is dented at the top and is made from sheet gold and gold wire. It is circular in plan, domed at the front and hollow on the underside.
