A complete Medieval copper-alloy circular seal matrix (c. 1200-c. 1300).
At the centre of the face the device is an eight petalled flower head. Between an inner and outer beaded border an inscription reads:
CREDE MIChI ("believe in me"). The initial mark at 12 0' clock is a six-pointed star.
The rear face has a suspension loop at 12 o' clock.
This seal matrix is largely dark green with some corrosion.
Diameter: 18.5mm; thickness: 3.6mm; thickness including the suspension loop: 7.5mm. Weight: 4.73g.

Obverse: EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB; Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown and wedged drapery.
Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.

The frame is plain with bevelled outside edge and comprises two oval loops divided by a narrowed central strap/pin bar with a moulded knop on either end. The copper alloy pin is complete and is decorated with a small longitudinal groove. The back of the frame is flat.

A post-medieval, cast copper-alloy hooked tag.
Description: The object has a heart-shaped plate, the front of which is decorated with an incised, zigzag border and three zigzag lines running vertically down the middle. There are two holes at the top which mount the ends of a horizontal, rear-projecting, copper-alloy wire, rectangular loop. A hook (now missing) was originally soldered to the bottom point of the plate at the rear but only traces of the lead solder remain.

A fragment of a medieval, coarse ware, ceramic bung hole pitcher, jug or cistern (c. 1350-c. 1450).
Description: The fragment consists of a complete bunghole, the area around the hole thickened and proud of the surface, with a small fragment of body sherd still attached. There are distinct finger or thumb marks around the hole where the clay has been worked. The outside is an oxidised orange colour with a reduced grey core. The fabric is fine-grained with no visible inclusions.

A complete copper-alloy dress hook of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1650. The dress hook is of Reads Class E, Type 2 being shield shaped in plan. The main plate comprises a moulded relief and openwork design consisting of a transverse cable band surmounted by two fleur-de-lis. Below the band is a swag design from the centre of which the hook extends. The hook has a D-shaped section and tapers to a point. A rectangular attachment loop projects from the opposite edge and would have been used to fasten the object to a garment. The reverse of the dress hook is flat and undecorated.

An incomplete copper-alloy strap slide of possible Roman date, c.AD 43 - 410. The object comprises a sub-rectangular plate with an integral looped strap bar to the reverse. The corners of the plate are rounded and only one arm of the bar survives, the other having been lost to a worn break.
The front of the plate is decorated with a transverse groove which extends into the remaining arm. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a dark brown delaminated patina and is worn. The object is 25.4mm long, 15.8mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 3.1g.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle is a single looped rectangle with a lipped frame to one edge. A recess is present on the lip which would act as the pin rest. The pin no longer remains and the frame is undecorated.
The metal has a dark green patina and is in good condition. The buckle is 28.7mm long, 26.4mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 7.2g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.27, no.143 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1450.

A complete copper-alloy asymmetrical buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle has a D-section with one sub-ovate and one smaller rectangular loop. A notch for the pin is present on the outer loop of the frame and the pin is retained, looped around a narrowed portion of the bar. The frame is undecorated.
The metal has a dark brown patina and is in fair condition. The buckle is 37.9mm long, 29.7mm wide, 4.2mm thick and weighs 11.4g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.87, no.538 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1450.
