A partially disturbed hoard of Roman coins discovered whilst the finder was metal-detecting on cultivated land. The initial discovery of a scatter of coins was thought to be a hoard and so it was left in-situ (following good practice) while the discovery was reported to the Finds Liaison Officer for Cambridgeshire, Helen Fowler. The hoard was then excavated by Helen Fowler and Dr. Andrew Brown of the British Museum. An unidentified, probably Modern object, probably dating from about AD 1850 - 1950. It is a subcircular disc of lead alloy with no obvious evidence of attachment nor breaks. The front face has a raised rim and a raised pellet in the centre. In the resulting groove are traces of coloured material, probably paint, in red and blue. The metal has a bumpy surface and a grey patina. The object is 16mm diameter, 2.8mm thick and 3.1g. It could be part of a toy.

A complete lead uniface token, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval date, abouit AD 1400 to AD 1700. The token is circular and flat. The obverse design is seven radiating lines creating a crude palm leaf type motif. It has a raised outer rim. The reverse is undecorated. The token has a diameter of 18.6mm diameter, 2.8mm thick and 4g. It is a light grey colour.

A copper alloy rectangular mount of possible Medieval date, about AD 1066 - 1500. It is a large sheet of copper alloy, slightly curved longitudinally. It is perforated with six circular holes; four larger ones (about 5.8mm diameter), one in each corner, and two smaller ones (about 3.7mm) near one end. The smaller apertures may be replacements for the large ones at that end which are damaged; one has torn at the corner, and the other corner has been folded over. The mount has a well developed light green to brown patina. It is 66mm long, 23.6mm wide and 1.7mm thick. 11.9g.

A copper alloy mount of possible Early Medieval date, AD 410 - 1066. The mount is an unusual shape, reminiscent of a cowrie shell, a pulse or a coffee bean. It is pointed oval in plan, a quarter circle in cross section and has a slight curve longitudinally. A copper alloy circular mount or stud with leather, or probable Post Medieval to Modern date, about AD 1700 - 1900. It is a metal stud with a thin round back plate ( 14mm diameter) and a shank of indeterminate section which passes through a circular rove or washer of 15mm diameter and thickness 1.6mm. The end of the shank is flattened to secure the stud. At least two, possibly three, layers of leather survive between the rivet and rove, and one piece extends to 41mm long and 26mm wide. 7.2g. A copper alloy Post Medieval button dating from AD 1475 - 1650. It has a solid head and an integral attachment loop. It is biconvex in form, circular in plan, convex at the front and convex at the back. The integral shank has a circular perforation for attachment, but is now broken and incomplete. This button has a pitted. light brown surface. It is 12.9mm long, 9.8mm diameter. 3.1g. Compare SWYOR-C53C1D which cites IOW-4DCE66 which notes that "Similar buttons have been published and dated c. 1475-c. 1600 AD (Read 2005: 51-53, refs: 174-190)".

Possibly part of a cast copper alloy leg from a Medieval to Post Medieval cooking vessel dating from about AD 1200 - 1900. The leg is flat, sub-rectangular, in cross section with convex rounded edges and a flat front and back. The leg terminates in a rounded but plain end with no clear 'foot', at the top it expands to form the wall of the vessel but is incomplete. The object is 32.4mm long, 50.6mm wide and 21.4mm thick. 101g. The metal is in very good condition. A copper alloy Roman brooch fragment; the enamelled constricting collar from the head loop of a brooch, probably a headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200. The collar is rectangular, but corroded so the edges are rounded. A double slot in the reverse allows the wire that forms the headloop of the brooch to pass through the collar, being constricted by it to form the neck below the head loop. A cast copper alloy domed thimble dating from the medieval period, about AD 1450 - 1530. It has large circular, probably drilled, indentations in a spiral up the sides and over the top. Some of the "pits" are holes rather than depressions. It has a plain rim with just a faint groove round the base. The thimble has a dark green glossy patina. It is 23.4mm tall, 21.5mm diameter and 8.5g. See Holmes (1988) Finds Research Group Datasheet 9 and Read (2006) 'Metal Thimbles' in The Searcher, October 2006.
