A sherd of ceramic Vessel of Roman date (AD 125-300). The sherd is a rim sherd from a wheel thrown greyware vessel. The fabric is very hard and sandy. The fabric is grey with frequent calcite/lithic inclusions. The inner face is a creamy buff in colour while the outer face is a dark grey in colour. The lip is everted. Height: 24.22mm, Width: 48.84mm, Thickness (body): 7.88mm, Thickness (rim): 20.73mm, Weight: 21.1g.

A ceramic Vessel sherd of Medieval date (AD 1200 -1500). The object is a base fragment of a shallow vessel. The object is composed of a hard fine fabric with a sandy texture and no visible inclusions. The outer fabric is light orange in colour, the inner is a light grey, caused by differential oxidisation during firing. There is some retained remanence of a foot at the base of the vessel. Three copper alloy medieval circular mounts containing the remains of leather, dating to c. AD 1330-1380. Each mount is circular in shape, and consist of two discs. In the top disc is a circular rivet which connects the two discs. The circular mounts are in a line, and slightly overlap the one before. One of the end mounts has an imprint where the next mount would have overlapped. Inbetween the two discs are the remains of leather, possibly indicating that these were on a strap. An incomplete copper-alloy Post Medieval buckle, dating to AD 1620-1680. It is the broken half of a double trapezoidal looped frame buckle. The outer edge has a triangular shape in plan with a rounded knop in place of the outward pointing angle. Both ends of the outer side of the frame have a rounded knop. A post medieval silver thimble probably dating to the late 18th century. The thimble has a conical head with flat sides, which are now slighly bent out of shape. The sides of the thimble are covered with machine-made indentations, arranged in rows up to the crown. The crown is also decorated with machine made indentations forming a series of circles radiating outwards meeting the sides.
