A copper alloy Post Medieval button dating from AD 1475 - 1650. It has a solid head and an integral attachment loop. It is biconvex in form, circular in plan, convex at the front and convex at the back. The integral shank has a circular perforation for attachment, but is now broken and incomplete. This button has a pitted. light brown surface. It is 12.9mm long, 9.8mm diameter. 3.1g. Compare SWYOR-C53C1D which cites IOW-4DCE66 which notes that "Similar buttons have been published and dated c. 1475-c. 1600 AD (Read 2005: 51-53, refs: 174-190)".

Copper alloy button. Flat discoid button with a billeted annular motif incised around a central ring, probably with the aid of a hand-operated machine. A drawn wire loop is attached to a low boss on the back. A grey tint may indicate tin in the metal mix. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850.

Copper alloy buttons. Seven flat plain discoid buttons of diameters between 27mm and 14.8mm, one hollow and the others the more usual solid variety, with separate loops or the scars from their loss on the backs; in seven cases the loop was attached to a low boss. The other button retains traces of a maker's back stamp on its flat back. A grey tint may arise from white metal plating in the case of the largest button, or from tin in the metal mixes with two others. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
