A copper alloy mount of possible Early Medieval date, AD 410 - 1066. The mount is an unusual shape, reminiscent of a cowrie shell, a pulse or a coffee bean. It is pointed oval in plan, a quarter circle in cross section and has a slight curve longitudinally. Description
A copper-alloy openwork scabbard chape, dating from the late Early-Medieval to Medieval periods (circa 1000-1200).
The chape is two dimensional and comprises a relief-moulded scene with incised detail depicts a quadruped standing left, both of its hind legs clearly distinguishable. An elliptical element that extends diagonally across the body of the animal probably represents the shield of a seated rider. The rider has a pointed head, which might be indicative of a helmet. The neck and head of the quadruped are missing.

An incomplete, copper alloy, early-medieval polyheral-headed pin of Anglo-Saxon association, dating to the 8th-9th century. The polyhedral head of the pin has approximately eighteen small facets. Each facet apart from the top facet is decorated with a ring and dot motif. The head measures 8.6mm long and 8.8mm in width. Extending below the head, and small collar, the pin shaft terminates in a break. The pin's overall length is 25.9mm.

A complete, copper alloy, early-medieval polyhedral-headed pin of Anglo-Saxon association, dating to the 8th - 9th centuries. The polyhedral head is in the form of a cuboid with the corners cut off. Twelve of the thirteen facets on the head are decorated with ring and dot motifs, the top facet is plain. Below this head is a simple collar, with the shaft extending, slightly bent, down to a point. The head measures 8.1mm long and 6.0mm wide, with the overall length of the pin 57.3mm.

An incomplete cast gilded silver gilt mount of early medieval date. The mount comprises a rectangular plate, convex on the upper face, with a portion of one end missing due to an old break. The complete end has two circular perforations, one upper and one lower, one of which is partially missing along with the outer edge of the mount.

An incomplete copper alloy early medieval openwork mount of Urnes style dating to AD 1000-1100. The mount is in the form of a coiled serpent or dragon like animal, with the head forming the projection. The head has a long wrinkled snout with a flat circular loop containing a piece of copper alloy wire, and a raised forehead with a circular eye on either side. The detail is formed of incised lines. U-shaped in plan with a lozenge section. Both ends have been cut and are worn. No testing nick marks are present. Possibly a fragment of a cut-down arm ring.

Headplate, bow and separate footplate fragment of a large early Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch. Headplate has slightly concave sides and convex ends (one of which is eroded back from its original edge) with an integral half-round moulded top-knob on centreline.
