Complete copper alloy Medieval to Post Medieval purse bar and suspension loop. Oval hanger loop with D-shaped cross-section and integral narrowed spindle where it passes through a rectangular block and is retained by a large riveted conical rove. Integral sub-circular section bar extending symmetrically 49mm either side of the block with deeply wrythen spherical terminals. Williams Class J. Circa AD1450-1550. Length 111mm, height from top of loop to base 50mm.
