Lead alloy bead. A cast spherical bead with moulds line and a probably drilled aperture of diameter 2mm, with extensive traces of black paint. The object is lightly flattened by the stringing hole on one side only. Its regularity may point to a recent date, and the black paint might hint at the imitation of jet jewellery, as became particularly fashionable during the protracted mourning of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) for Prince Albert. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.

Copper alloy mount. Cast curved oval plate with four spurs projecting from its outer edges at its rayed and fan-shaped ends, which are divided by a plain central zone with engrailed edges. The curvature might suggest this was formerly attached to a walking stick, cycle frame or similar object. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
Copper alloy probable key fragment. An object comprising two elements: a narrower solid round-section bar, angled sharply and with a knop at its external angle, here taken to be the lozengiform bow; and a broader rounded element whose narrower end is hollowed to a depth of c.5mm, the stem. There is a substantial rounded collar at the junction of stem and bow. The object is probably broken at both its ends. A medieval date is likely, and it could be assigned to London type VI, probably late 13th to 15th century.

Lead spindle whorl. Cast biconvex whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 9.4mm, and with moulded decoration in strong relief on both sides. On one side, this takes the form of a star of four points delineated by lines, with large pellets distributed to either side of the lines.
