Description: Gilded milled silver sixpence of Charles II dated on the coin to AD 1681 (Spink 1999, no. 3382). The coin has been pierced at 8 o'clock on the obverse (9 o'clock on the reverse) using a square or rectangular implement, the perforation being made from the reverse. Description: Roman silver finger ring with gem-set bezel of Henig's Type II (Guiraud Type 2). The gem is a carnelian and is oval in shape. It is engraved with a male figure, possibly Mars Gradivus, helmeted, advancing left (as seen on the gem), carrying a trophy over one shoulder and a spear across the body. The gem sits flush with the bezel which tapers on either side into rounded shoulders and then on into a D-sectioned loop with very slight faceting along the edges.
