A copper alloy Roman nummus of Constantius II (AD 323-361), Reece period 18, minted in AD 353 at Trier. The obverse on this coin is very worn, but the bust can just be seen facing right with its prominent ear. The reverse is of the SALVS AVG NOSTRI type with a chi-rho in the centre flanked by an alpha 'A' and omega 'ω'. This type was only struck at Trier and is attributed to a period known as the Revolt of Poemenius (Kent,1981, pp.164-165). A fragment of a cast copper alloy leg of a small skillet, broken off at the top and above the foot. with three moulded ribs running vertically down the face of the leg. Just before the lower break in the leg it begins to splay out to what would have been the foot. There is no collar above the foot. The leg is rectangular in plan, splaying out slightly at the bottom left hand corner, and plano-convex in section with a flat back. There is black organic material on the surface of the leg burnt on when it was near the fire. A simple leg of this type is illustrated by Butler & Green (2003)…

Incomplete cast copper alloy leg and foot from a cauldron. The leg and foot are straight-sided in plan and profile and plano-convex in section with a flat back. The base of the foot is flat but angled outwards with a casting cavity on one side. There are five rounded ribs, the central one widest at 12 mm and the two outer ribs least prominent, running parallel to each other from the broken upper edge of the leg to the transverse collar above the foot.
