The turrets are connected by a semi-circular sectioned curved bar. At the base of one of the turrets is a hole which either held the hinge for the pin or was the locating hole for the pin. At the base of each turret opposite the existing joining b…

An incomplete cast copper-alloy T-shaped brooch dating to the Roman period (AD 75-150). Missing hinge pin, foot and catch. The brooch is decorated similar to that noted by Hattatt (2007, Fig. 163) no. 1520 where the head of the brooch has a central, vertical, moulded ridge between two oblique ribs which taper to meet at a point, forming a 'V' shape down the length of the bow. Underneath the V-shaped ribs, the bow is also raised and moulded into a 'V' shape, defined by two grooves, which run parallel to the outside edges of the tapering bow.

An incomplete, silver gilt, Medieval brooch depicting two women, AD. 1300-1500. The object comprises a roughly pentagonal frame that is formed by two standing women, each with an arm raised towards a 'fruit' hanging from a tree. The base is formed of floral scrolling. The object is missing the loop and pin that would have been attached beneath one of the women's outstretched arms. The object has been damaged and is bent slightly lengthways. The rear of the piece is undecorated. The upper surfaces of the design have become worn and this obscures much of the finer detail of the piece. …
