An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval stirrup terminal, dating to AD 1050-1100. It consists of a semi-cylindrical socket which has the outer face shaped with a zoomorphic motif. The edges of the socket are damaged and probably it would have had a circular cross-section enclosing completely the oblique arm of the stirrup. The stepped shape of the base of the socket was made to accomodate the stirrup corner where the oblique arm joins the foot plate. The inner faces of the socket have traces of the soldering. A copper-alloy fragment of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) mount, dating to AD 600-700. It is a crescent flat strip of metal which represents on its front face a bird head. The elements of the bird surviving are the beak and the eye, obtained by engraving. The break is on the back of the bird head, where a fragmentary semicircular perforation is still visible. The front face has traces of silvering. The back face is flat and undecorated. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman finger ring, dating to AD 100-300. Only the bezel and fragments of both shoulders survive. The bezel is octagonal in plan and it is recessed to house an enameled decoration, now worn. The best preserved shoulder has a transverse flute on the front face and traces of the narrowed hoop; the other shoulder survives only in a fragment of the flute. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman spoon fragment, dating to AD 150-410. It is part of the shaft and the arched extension that joined the bowl. The fragment is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The breaks are old and worn and the surface is pitted and abraded. Although the bowl has not survived, for the shape of the fragment It probably belongs to Type 2 in Crummy (1983 cf. p. 70, fig. 73, no. 2014). An incomplete copper-alloy possibly Roman hinged fitting, dating to AD 43-410. It consists of two plates hinged together and secured with a copper-alloy pin. Each plate is formed by folding a thin sheet metal kept thight by a copper-alloy rivet. The back sheet of each plate is shorter than the front one and it has a sub-rectangular shape in plan. The front sheets are broken in differetn lenghts. The hinge might be part of a laminated body armour or other sorts of strap fittings. Cf. The arms are broken and irregularly bent. On the front and back face of the arms there is a subtle transverse groove where the loop begins. Cf.
