A Mesolithic (10,000 - 4000 BC) flint pick with an off-centre lozengiform cross-section, the apex of each face being left of centre with the rounded end positioned uppermost. Broad flake removals run generally from the apex to either long side. On one face there are narrow, long and thin removals from the apex to the rounded, thinner end of the object. One face is rather flatter while the other has a (slightly off-centre) central apex, giving the object a triangular cross-section. It has roughly parallel sides. Both ends of the pick narrow to a point, one of which is thin and rounded with wide, short, semi-abrupt flake removals around the edge of the flatter face with a longer, wide flake extending towards the edge from the higher surface above. A Mesolithic - Neolithic (10,000 - 2100 BC) flint pick with a triangular cross-section and roughly parallel sides, all of which narrow to either end, one of which is a broad point and the other an apparently natural blunt end one set transversely to the point. This blunt end has a different surface colouring to most of the rest of the object, presumably an 'original' surface of the flint, now a creamy-orange 'light toffee' colour. A complete knapped flint probable tranchet axehead of Late Mesolithic date (6500- 4000 BC) date. It is flatter to one surface than the other (the latter retaining a broad band of cortex longitudinally along the centre) and is parallel-sided. The flint is grey in colour to the flatter face and much darker/ black around the cortex.
