A complete and worn post-Medieval silver Commonwealth (1649-1660) halfgroat, minted at London (North 1991: 206, ref: 2728). Obverse: Shield of St. George within wreath formed of a palm and laurel branch. Reverse: Conjoined shields of St. George and Ireland with II (mark of value) above. Diameter: 16.9mm. Weight: 0.81g. DA=12:1. The coin has been pierced with a circular hole, 2.0mm in diameter. The hole has been pierced from the reverse through to the obverse. North, J.J. 1991. A post-medieval, cast copper-alloy nail. Description: The nail has a square-section tapered shank and a round head. The lower half of the shank retains the remains of the timber object that it was hammered into. The wood fibres are clearly defined but stained green by the copper in the nail. Measurements: Length 28.02mm: Width/Diameter (head) 9.65mm: Thickness (shank) 4.33mm: Weight 3.15gms Discussion: Copper-alloy nails would be used in locations like flour mills where it was imperative to avoid striking sparks. Suggested date post-medieval, AD 1650-1850.

An early post-medieval French Shield jetton. Description: The obverse of the jetton shows a shield of France with three fleurs de lis, surmounted by a crown. There is an illegible legend around the margin. The reverse shows an imperial orb surmounted by a cross within an ornamental tressure that has three main arches. A complete copper alloy Medieval decorated finger ring, probably c. 1400 - 1500 AD. The ring is composed of two elements, with the inner section having an applied outer ring with what appear to be talismanic, devotional, or Christian symbols/verse on six separate panels. Three of the panels are crafted as if an open book, the remainder are simple plaques with a curvilinear 'banner' on which there are black letter style inscriptions. A silver Hammered Farthing, probably of Edward II c. 1307 - 1327 AD. Crowned bust facing with wedged drapery. Reverse with Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets to each quadrant. The coin is in fair condition with minor clipping.

A portion of a four-part Alnage cloth seal from the reign of Charles II. One disc has a Crown with: CR: beneath and ENGLAND 1682 curved around the inside of a raised circular border. The other disc 3 also has a raised circular border in which the date 1682 is straight across the top, the initials could be EHMS with the numerals 1 -1/2 beneath, for the levy paid on the cloth. A similar seal is noted on page 203 of Geoffrey Egan's - Provenanced Leaden Cloth Seals, the seal is from Oxfordshire.

An early Medieval iron angular blade spearhead with a split socket, classified by Swanton (1974) as a Class E2 type spearhead dating from the seventh century to later in the Anglo-Saxon period. Most of a rounded, split socket remains. The blade is broadly lozenged shaped with angular shoulders, with a short solid neck above the socket. The surface is heavily oxidised and fragile.

A complete but bent and broken Medieval silver short cross penny of Henry II (1154-1189) minted by Gocelm at Winchester. Class 1c, 1185-1189 (North 1994: 220, ref: 964). Obverse: hENRICVS REX; Crowned bust facing with sceptre. Reverse: + (cross pattée) GOCELM·ON·WINC; Voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each quadrant. Diameter: 21.0mm. Weight: 1.35g. DA=12:9.
