A complete lead alloy cloth seal probably dating to the Post Medieval period, circa 1500-1700. The seal comprises of two circular disks, broadly the same size, and a connecting strip. One face has a depiction of a rampant lion in light relief. The opposing face has the initial 'R' plus a number of small circular pellets surrounding. The surfaces of the seal are worn with a fairly even cream coloured patina. The cloth seal is in poor condition as a result of damage probably caused by movement in the plough soil.
