A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy purse bar, probably dating to c. AD 1450-1500. The fragment comprises of one fragmentary arm only, with the circular sectioned arm projecting from the jaws of an incomplete zoomorphic moulding. Double-stranded niello-inlaid cross-hatched decoration survives at the terminal end of the arm, with an incomplete sub-rectangular attachment plate projecting from the arm, parallel to the length of the arm; one perforation survives. A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy zoomorphic spout, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1550 and likely from an ewer. The spout terminates in a simplistic moulded dog's head with the spout projecting outwards from its open mouth. The upper snout is sub-triangular to trapezoidal in cross section and is sub-rectangular when viewed above, with a rounded, slightly lipped nose. Behind the snout the spout expands into a sub-rectangular head, with no idication of eyes or further additional detail.
