A copper alloy oval penannular brooch with the complete pin still attached. The length of the pin at 49 mm suggests that it was designed to fit transversely across the long length of the oval frame.The brooch is made of a solid copper alloy tube, round in section, with two flattened terminals each rolled back into a spiral in the centre of one long side of the brooch, leaving a small gap in the circumference. A Roman copper alloy sestertius, probably of Hadrian (AD 117-138), Reece period 5?, probably PONT MAX TR POT COS II S C // ADVENTVS AVG reverse type, depicting Roma helmeted seated to the left on a cuirass and shield facing right and clasping hands with Hadrian to the right who faces left towards her. Silver gilt pendant in the form of a Tau or T-shaped cross depicting the Five Wounds of Christ.
