An incomplete Medieval silver-gilt finger-ring (c. 1300-c. 1400). Treasure case no. 2018 T284. The bezel is incomplete and most of the hoop is missing. The main part of the bezel is flat and when complete it was probably octagonal in plan. The upper face of the bezel has radiating grooves as decoration. At each end of the bezel, above the hoop, there is a granule. There are three smaller granules at the centre of the bezel. The bezel is soldered to the hoop which is rectangular in cross-section. A complete, worn and folded Medieval silver long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272), minted at London. Class 3a-3b, 1248-1249 (North 1994: 226, refs: 986-987). Obverse: h[ENRICV]S RE[X III]; Crowned bust facing without sceptre. Reverse: [ ]NLV/NDE (ND ligated); Voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant. Diameter: c. 17.5mm. Weight: 0.59g. A post-Medieval copper-alloy scale knife stop/end-cap (1500-1600). The end-cap is broadly pentagonal in plan and has two broad flat faces. At the top there are three lobes and on each broad face each lobe has a circular 'blind' hole. On the underside a transverse slot contains the remains of an iron tang. An incomplete and corroded Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle frame and folded sheet plate (c. 1250-c. 1400). The frame is trapezoidal in plan. It is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. Each outer corner has a bulbous knop. There may have been a smaller knop at each inner corner. However, due to corrosion it is difficult to be certain. There are the remains of a corroded iron pin. The bar is obscured. An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy strap-end (c. 1000-c. 1100). Thomas class E, Type 1 'Winchester' (Thomas 2004: 2, fig. 4, refs: 22-24). The terminal end is missing. The openwork tongue-shaped strap-end is symmetrical and the decoration is derived from 'inhabited plant scroll'.
