A complete cast copper-alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. Only the pendant element survives, the suspension mount missing in old damage. It demonstrates an elongated integral suspension loop at its apex, the main body of the pendant taking the form of a cinquefoil in plan view- with five rounded petal lobes extending from its edge. One edge of the pendant is bent over on itself in old damage, though otherwise it is preserved in fair condition with an even brown patina. A section of lead with the remnants of an iron nail which appears to be Roman through it dating to c AD 43-410 (but may be later). The object comprises a sub-rectangular piece of lead. At one end, the lead has a flat vertical face and curved corners. An incomplete copper alloy Roman double lug Colchester derivative brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical with an open reverse.
