A fragment of post-medieval clay pipe dating to 1723-54 and consisting of part of the stem only. It has been stamped (now worn) transversely with I[ON] // EDMO // NDS The fragment measures 42.9mm in length, has a diameter of 8.4mm and weighs 3.61g. David Higgins comments, '[This is a] stem fragment with the abraded remains of an incuse stem stamp across the stem, which would have had an 'I' followed by a small 'O' over an 'N' and then 'EDMO' and 'NDS' on the next two lines. A fragment of clay pipe of late post-medieval/ early modern date (c.1878-1907), consisting of part of the stem and a small section of the base of the bowl. The breaks are old. The casting seam is clearly visible on opposing sides of the stem, to top and bottom. Twelve ceramic beads that are spherical in form, each with a large off-centre hole. Eight of the beads are large (Diameter 15mm, height 13mm, weight 2.46g and four are small Diameter 10mm, height 8mm, weight 0.84g, all are undecorated. Due to a lack of contextual evidence and any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely and it could be Roman through to modern in date.

A black burnished ware (BB1) rim sherd from a Roman vessel dating to c AD 43-410. The sherd comprises a small section of rim and wall of a vessel. The outer face of the wall is convex with a narrow rib of rim at the top. The fabric is black on the outer face and muddy brown on the inner face. There are large holes which probably contained organic material. There are numerous small and medium inclusions of grog and flint. The fragment weighs 5.75g and measures 25.69mm in length, 23.3mm in width and 8.56mm in thickness.
