An incomplete Roman cast, lead steel yard weight.The weight is bi-conical and would have had a (now missing) iron loop protruding from the top. The steelyard weight is a light cream colour with some evidence of damage. The sight of the missing loop is evidenced by 2 areas of embeded and rusting iron

A Roman T-shaped brooch. The brooch consists of the cylindrical wings, an arched bow, and part of the catch plate. The wings have a notch in the centre to accommodate the hinge pin which is missing. There is no decoration on the wings. The bow is of semi circular cross section and tapers towards the end. The bow is decorated with ridges along its length. A medieval, cast copper-alloy, single loop buckle frame.
Description: The D-shaped frame has a rectangular cross-section and thickens towards the apex, coming to a blunt point with an incised notch forming a pin rest. There is a narrowed and offset strap bar, rectangular in section.
Measurements: Length 15.05mm: Width 13.28mm: Thickness 2.06mm: Weight 1.18g.
Discussion: Similar buckles are shown in Whitehead, 2003. Page 20 and dated c. AD 1350-1450.

A post-medieval, cast copper-alloy loop chape from a two-piece shoe buckle.
Description: The frame of the chape is "cooking pot" shaped with a single, internal spike on the widest side. The narrower side has a curved internal edge whilst the outer edge is thickened and drilled to accept a steel spindle. This is now corroded away and only iron corrosion stains remain. The centre of the drilled side is notched to accept the pin, now missing.

A medieval, cast copper-alloy, zoomorphic strap fitting.
Description: The object is roughly hexagonal in plan with a convex front and a concave back. It depicts the forward-facing head of an animal, probably a horse, with the ears, eyes, snout and mouth defined by incised lines. The centre of the head is drilled for an attachment rivet. The circular copper-alloy rivet remains in-situ attached to a rectangular, sheet copper-alloy rove on the back.

A post-medieval, circular, cast silver mount with circular central hole.
Description: A decorative silver mount, with integrally-moulded foliate or floral decoration around the central hole. The walls of the hole extend beyond the flat back of the mount to create a tube which would have passed through the material of the object it was attached to. This was then folded outwards to form a backplate and secure a circular silver rove, which remains in-situ. There is some damage to the edge of the folded section.
