An incomplete copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head of the brooch is ovate with a concave reverse which retains an integral centrally positioned semi-circular lug. An axis bar with five turns of the spring remains fitted through the lug. The ends of the axis bar are broken and worn and the pin has been lost to a worn break. An ovate sectioned bow projects from the front of the head, extending to a circular acanthus moulding flanked by double banded semi-circular collars. Fragment of a gilt copper alloy unidentified object. The item appears to comprise a single sheet of copper alloy which then splits into two plates one one edge, much like the terminal of a strap-end. The item undulates in section, and comprises two concave channels divided by a narrow raised ledge. A shallow channel runs down the centre of the raised ledge. Both sides of the object are gilded, and there do not appear to be any complete edges. Probably medieval.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill type brooch of Roman date (80-120 AD). The wings are near complete with flat and pierced end cap. A cast copper alloy strap distributor or suspension fitting of uncertain date. The fitting is formed from thickly cast copper alloy and is broadly circular in plan and domed (D shaped) in cross section. The dome is pierced by three cast and worn oval shaped holes (av. 7.8mm) positioned symmetrically on the mid-section of each side. On the external edge - between the holes - small D shaped lobes / projections are positioned; these appear as slight swellings. The underside is plain and undecorated. A complete cast copper alloy anthropormorphic mount dating from the Late Iron Age to the Roman period. The mount features the head and shoulders, which are triangular and are slightly damaged.
