A complete Post Medieval copper alloy open thimble dating to the period cAD1500 - 1620. The thimble has sloping sides and a continuous right-hand spiral of square indentations running from the base to the top rim. At the end of the indentations there is a stamped maker's mark of a crown with three circular rings inside a domed recessed panel. An incised line runs round the lower rim of the thimble. It measures 10.74mm in height, 19.17mm in diameter at the top and 21.09mm at the base and weighs 4.84g. Reference is made to this type of thimble in Holmes, FRG Datasheet 9, pg 3.

An uncertain tear-drop shaped lead-alloy object likely post medieval c. AD 1500-1800 palm guard. Description: The object is tear drop shape in plan, both faces are flat, the sides slant by approx. 10mm from face to face. The object has some minor damage with a nick in one edge a third of the way up. On the narrower face there are the remnants two circular posts, of unknown purpose. The broader face has some slight indentations on the wider part. Measurements: length: 60.96mm, width: 35.96mm, thickness: 12.23mm, weight: 147.58g.

An incomplete copper alloy stud or mount dating to the Roman period (AD 43 - AD 410). The stud is circular in plan and segmented into 6 triangular recesses arranged around a central pellet. There is a circular perforation in one of the recesses. The reverse is flat and undecorated, with the remains of a circular sectioned shank in the centre. The metal is worn and light green in colour. The stud is 14.4 mm in diameter, 3.7 mm thick, and weighs 2.5 g. Similar examples have been recorded on the PAS database, including: YORYM-DEC208, BH-2F6E2D, and LEIC-C60312.

Post medieval copper alloy strap slide, Length; 30 mm, width: 14 mm, thickness: 11 mm, weight: 3.11 g. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and is incomplete. It has a rectangular plate which has two slightly projecting rounded edges on both long sides, creating a waisted effect and a short flat end. It is decorated with repeat scroll work and it has a partial rectangular slide/loop emerging from one short side. The object is a strap slider or belt fitting and probably part of a sword belt 'set'and was found very close to LEIC-F31C60 which adds weight to this.

Incomplete post medieval strap fitting from a sword belt dating to the period c. AD 1600 -1700. The plate exhibits a rectangular aperture with a lateral suspension loop projectiong from one side. The plate projecting from one side exhibits a central rivet hole filled with iron ocrrosion product and has cusped long edges. It terminates in a transverse break. See: Read, B, 2017, p. 44, no. 371.

Incomplete post medieval strap fitting from a sword belt dating to the period c. AD 1600 -1700. The plate exhibits a flared, double-concave attachment end, now incomplete due to old breaks. It exhibits a vertical median groove running down the front and two rivet holes containing the corroded remains of iron rivets. The plate tapers slightly, and exhibits two opposed crescentic mouldings with a collared hook projecting from between them, terminating in an old break. A complete cast copper alloy probable harness pendant (or belt fitting?) dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200-1500. The pendant is cast in one piece and has a large loop with quatrefoil openwork aperture and below this a scallop-shell-shaped pendant. The upper surface does not appear to have been decorated. The scallop shell was associated with pilgrimage. The quatrefoil aperture is reminiscent of some belt fittings of 16th century date.

The object is incomplete and comprises a trefoil shaped terminal which houses a central iron rivet. The object widens from here forming a now triangular shape, having broken at its now base. It is has foliate incised decoration on one surface. If was found very close to LEIC-F30838, possibly part of a set?

A much abraded cast copper alloy zoomorphic terminalled strap end of later early medieval (later Anglo-Saxon) date, 800 - 1000 AD. The strap-end is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with two parallel sides. Those sides taper slightly along their length and terminate in a blunted point. Incomplete copper alloy hollow plate strap end dating to c1350-1450, sometimes referred to as a "lyre shaped" buckle. It has a sub-rectangular body with two rivet holes. The front of this plate appears to have a deliberate letter n engraved on to it. The plate has a moulded ridge and a narrowed collar that then flares out into the remains of an openwork plate. The reverse is undecorated. The object has a dark green patina. Similar examples have been recorded on the PAS database; see WILT-D27C27, for example. Length: 4.8mm; width: 2.3mm. Thickness and weight unknown.

Copper alloy stirrup terminal. A cast concavo-convex object, approaching conical form, of which the hollow side is thought to engage with a stirrup. On one side, the object bears a moulded chevron oriented towards a horizontal rib with two low rounded horns projecting from its ends, the overall effect being vaguely anthropomorphic.
