Pipeclay tobacco pipe fragments. Sixteen fragments from the open bowls of moulded tobacco pipes with wire drawn bores of between 1.9 and 2.3mm and with basal spurs in most cases. The moulded decoration includes recurrent vegetal motifs representing tobacco leaves, other tendril and fruit motifs, a fragmentary Britannia, and, in the case of the most complete example, armorial shields representing England [three leopards] and the City of Hull [three crowns]. A complete lead alloy Seal Matrix of Medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The object is pentagonal and flat with an incised inscription and central deign. The central motif is a cross formed from four wedges. Around the cross is an inscription which reads: S IO/ NS (seal of John or Joan). The inscription rotates through 180 degrees at 12 O'clock. There is no clear indication on the back of the object of a suspension loop. Length: 23.74mm, Width: 19.10mm, Thickness: 3.93mm, Weight: 10.3g The metal is a light cream in colour with a slightly pitted patina.

Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, Thickness: 8 mm, diameter: 27 mm, internal diameter: 10 mm, weight: 38.3 g. The whorl is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It is plain and has an interal hole, 10mm in diameter. On one side it has a linear indentation which suggests the position of the cross bar holding the whorl in place on its shaft. Incomplete post medieval strap fitting from a sword belt dating to the period c. AD 1600 -1700. The plate exhibits a rectangular aperture with a lateral suspension loop projectiong from one side. The plate projecting from one side exhibits a central rivet hole filled with iron ocrrosion product and has cusped long edges. It terminates in a transverse break. See: Read, B, 2017, p. 44, no. 371.

Late medieval to post medieval copper alloy dagger chape, Length: 36 mm, width: 25 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 5.27 g. The object is sub rectangular in from and cross section. It forms one half of a two piece dagger chape, having rounded sides and a hollow reverse. Its upper half has a rectangular form and has an upper edge decorated with semi-circular cut outs and a central heart shaped cut out below. A fragment of a copper alloy Purse Bar of Late Medieval to Post Medieval date (AD 1450-1600). The bar is circular in section and slightly curved. There are two retained integral suspension loops extending from the one retained side. Each of the suspension loops have a single, central, perforation. The bar terminates in worn breaks at one end and a partially retained circular loop which would have been the middle of the bar. There is no visible decoration on the object. Length: 83.41mm, Thickness: 6.40mm, Weight: 14.1g. The metal is a light green in colour with a pitted patina.

The upper domed surface displays a shiny grey patina while the sides and base are a light creamy brown colour. The object is 23.6mm in diameter, 14.8mm tall, the depression is 8.1mm in diameter and 6.1mm deep. It weighs 41.9g. Similar objects have been recorded on the PAS database.
