A complete lead-alloy trade weight of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1380 - 1600. The weight is shield shaped with rounded edges and corners. A worn raised crowned fleur-de-lis design is present on the upper surface. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal has a mid-white/brown patina and is worn. An incomplete lead alloy button, probably of late Medieval dating (about AD 1300 - 1500) and with evidence of repair. The head of the button is circular, and slightly domed, with a flat back. The front has a central cross design in relief, created by four chevron shaped recesses. The arms of the cross terminate with a pellet, with further pellets round the outer edge in the angle of each chevron. The pellets are all very worn. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy book clasp dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1700. The fitting is rectangular in shape with one wider flaring end. The opposite end of the plate is straight and from the centre projects a broken hook which curves backwards. The tip of the hook is missing to an old break. The object is crucifom and has a sub rectangular cross section. each of the plain rectangular, triangular cross sectioned arms has a rounded, domed projection. A copper alloy possible Post Medieval dress fastener, part of a composite wire hook and eye dating from about AD 1500 - 1700. It is a circular disc of copper alloy with no visible decoration surviving. On the reverse is attached a short length of copper alloy wire, laying along one edge of the disc. This probably once extended into a sideways projecting hook or loop for attachment. The object is 13.9mm diameter, 2.5mm thick and 1.37g. Possibly Read (2008) Class B, type 2, similar to number 598 on page 159.

Possible Roman copper alloy finger ring. Width: 15 mm, thickness: 4 mm, diameter: 28 mm, weight: 24.44 g The object consists of a tapering sub rectangular sheet of copper alloy which has a bulging sub oval cross section. This has been wrapped around to form a ring/loop. The finder has been advised that it is a finger ring of Roman date. The colour does not seen correct for such a date but it was found outside my area.
