An incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped trapezoidal buckle frame dating to the Post-Medieval period. The frame is D-shaped in section and extends, widening slightly, to triangular terminals. The strap bar is D-shaped in section with lobed protrusions at each end. The reverse of the buckle frame is flat and plain. The pin is missing. The buckle frame measures 42mm in length, 22mm in width and has a maximum thickness of 2.5mm. The buckle frame weighs 5.4 grams. A similar buckle frame illustrated by Whitehead (2003, p. 82, no. 513) is dated to the period c. AD 1620 to AD 1680.

An incomplete and worn cast copper-alloy probable double-loop annular buckle, dating c. AD 1350-1650. Description: The buckle frame is circular with a mid the bar creating two back to back D-shaped loops. The frame has a D-shaped cross-section with the upper facing being convex. The frame has been finished with some limited bevelling. The frame is a mottled grey-green colour. Measurements: 34.98mm in diameter, 2.82mm thick and 7.36g in weight. Copper alloy buckle. Cast symmetrical buckle frame with indented upper and lower edges and bevelled rounded and slightly expanded ends, the latter retaining a trace of moulded vegetal decoration. A triple moulding top and bottom marks the position of opposed housings for a separate steel spindle [now lost]. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1660-1720. Post medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1650. The central strap bar exhibits a notch for the pin. A D-shaped loop projects from either side. Each exhibits a triangular lip with a notched pin rest. See: Whitehead, R, 2003, p. 55.

Incomplete medieval gilt copper alloy buckle plate, D-shaped, broken at pin slot and frame recesses, three rivet holes, back part missing. There are traces of an engraved trefoil occupying the face of the plate. Length 15.5mm. Width 20.5mm. Later 12th - 13th century.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1500. The buckle is a single loop D-shape with a narrowed strap bar and bevelled outer edge. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The buckle is 17.7mm long, 11.4mm wide, 2.9mm thick and weighs 1.3g. Similar example are illustrated in Whitehead (1996), p.18 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1500.

A Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy annular buckle dating to the period cAD1350 - 1650. The buckle has a simple circular frame with bevelled inside edge and a recessed strap bar. A seperately made copper alloy pin survives intact on the bar. The buckle measures 18.70mm in diameter and weighs 2.47g. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead (2003:44-45), to which he assigns a date range of AD 1350-1650.
