Pipeclay tobacco pipe fragments. Sixteen fragments from the open bowls of moulded tobacco pipes with wire drawn bores of between 1.9 and 2.3mm and with basal spurs in most cases. The moulded decoration includes recurrent vegetal motifs representing tobacco leaves, other tendril and fruit motifs, a fragmentary Britannia, and, in the case of the most complete example, armorial shields representing England [three leopards] and the City of Hull [three crowns].
