A copper alloy seal matrix dating to the medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1500). The seal matrix is circular in plan. The design consists of an eight pointed star formed from two interwoven squares. Inside the star there is a curled up animal, possibly a lion, with a long tail and small round ears. The inscription LEGE TEGE (read, conceal) surrounds the star, with each letter set in-between the star points. The whole design is encircled by a plain border. An incomplete copper alloy pipe tamper of Post-Medieval date. The tamper is in the form of a claw hammer but is missing half of the claw, the hammerhead, part of the shaft and the tamper itself due to old breaks. The block at the top of the shaft is rectangular in shape and measures 12.9 mm in length and 8.4 mm in width. At one end there is a small circular projection from which the now missing hammerhead would have extended. An incomplete lead-alloy pilgrim badge of medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1400. The object is rectangular in plan with a narrow rectangular section. Each of the four corners are broken and worn though would have featured sewing holes. The front faces bears a moulded design featuring a knight on horseback riding left within a beaded border. The name +GVILELM is present along the top edge. The reverse is undecorated. The imagery represents St Guilhem-le-Desert of Southern France. Possible Roman copper alloy finger ring. Width: 15 mm, thickness: 4 mm, diameter: 28 mm, weight: 24.44 g The object consists of a tapering sub rectangular sheet of copper alloy which has a bulging sub oval cross section. This has been wrapped around to form a ring/loop. The finder has been advised that it is a finger ring of Roman date. The colour does not seen correct for such a date but it was found outside my area.

A copper alloy possible Post Medieval dress fastener, part of a composite wire hook and eye dating from about AD 1500 - 1700. It is a circular disc of copper alloy with no visible decoration surviving. On the reverse is attached a short length of copper alloy wire, laying along one edge of the disc. This probably once extended into a sideways projecting hook or loop for attachment. The object is 13.9mm diameter, 2.5mm thick and 1.37g. Possibly Read (2008) Class B, type 2, similar to number 598 on page 159.
