A worn post medieval lead alloy token or tally of probably 17th or 18th century date. The token is bifacial, with one side depicting a large capital 'N' in retrograde (a common feature of these objects), surrounded by four annulets. The opposing side depicts a large capital 'T' formed of pellets, with the letters MN and/or NM to either side.

A complete cast lead-alloy groat sized Boy Bishop token of Rigold's type X- uninscribed Bury series, dating c. 1470-1539. Obverse: crude mitre with crozier behind, all within a ribbon like 'pseudo-legend'. Reverse: long cross quartering token, three pellets in each angle, pseudo-legend of curvilinear motifs. C.f Rigold 1978, plate XI, fig. k. The token has been pierced for suspension directly below the mitre, inferring it may have been converted into a personal amulet or devotional piece.
