A silver penny of Alexander III of Scotland (1249-86), second coinage, type B2/M mule with hair type d (Spink S5052) dating to c.1280-92. A six-pointed mullet is in each quarter giving a total of 24 points. Ref: Spink 2015, pg 19. [+]AL[EX]ANDE[R]DE[IGRACIA] is the ob legend and [R]EX/SCO/TO[R/VM+] is the rev.The diameter is 19mm and the weight 1.11g.
