Lead spindle whorl. Cast plano-convex whorl with straight sides, and probably one larger and one smaller flat face, a moulded central aperture of diameter 9.5mm, probably Walton Rogers form A2. Patinated. The size of the spindle hole may suggest an Anglo-Scandinavian date. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 850-1000.
