A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy double looped buckle, probobably dating to c. AD 1400-1650. The buckle is symetrical, with two oval loops and a sub-triangular cross section, the front of the frame being externally bevelled. Traces of corrosion from an iron pin remain on the bar. It is 28.54mm in length, 25.19mm in width. It weighs 5.68g.

A Medieval copper alloy single looped buckle dating to c AD 1250-1350. It is missing its pin. The outer edge is expanded and slightly bulbous, with a slight notch to hold the pin and flanked by ridges. The bar is offset and narrowed. The frame is internally bevelled on the reverse, with the expanded section concave. It is 28.26mm in ength, 16.94mm from front of hoop to strap bar. It weighs 4g. cf. Egan & Pritchard (1991: 73) nos. 295, 296 & 300. Meols type 9.

An incomplete medieval cast copper alloy annular buckle, missing part of its pin. It dates to c AD 1250 - 1450. The frame is sub-circular in plan and cross section, with a notch to form a pin rest and a very slightly offset bar to hold the pin. This is incomplete, flat in cross section and with two knops flanking the juncture between the shank of the pin and the section wrapped around the frame. The pin is undecorated and tapers into an old break. It is 24.78mm in diameter, the frame has a cross section of 3.04mm. The pin is 4.45mm wide where it wraps around the frame. It weighs 5…

An incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy double loop angle framed oval buckle, missing its pin. It dates to c AD 1540 - 1600. The buckle has two oval loops with a central bar flanked by knops. The buckle frame is D-shaped in cross section and with the outer edge of each frame expanded and moulded into a rossette. Traces of a black laquer survive on the surface. A complete post medieval cast copper alloy spherical crotal bell, dating to c AD1600 - 1800. The bell has a rectangualr loop, probably made using a detachable sprue-piece. There are two circular perforations in the upper half of the bell and the iron 'pea' has become fused to the wall of the bell, close to one of these holes. There is radiating moulded sunburst decoration above and below the raised central circumferential ridge. By the slot, what is probably a maker's mark on one side has been obscured by corrosion.
